Bonsai’s design team continues to grow as Martha Nuttall joins the company as senior interior designer.

Miss Nuttall moves to Bonsai with a wealth of skills; she boasts more than 16 years’ international experience in account and client relationship management and sales. Over the course of six years, she built a full cycle ready-to-wear and bespoke fashion design and textile business. She continued as the founder, fashion designer and MD at Martha Ellen, based in Indonesia, before returning to Guernsey in 2018.

‘Great design is the driving force behind everything we do at Bonsai, and we are thrilled to have Martha joining our growing team,’ said Bonsai director Mat Rolfe.

‘She’s a talented designer, incredibly personable and professional, and has an excellent track record in business. We plan to keep raising the bar over the coming years, and Martha will play a central role.’

Miss Nuttall said she was excited to get involved in fundamental interior design decisions, specifically for the residential interior design market.

‘My experience in curation, and more specifically in my bespoke fashion design business, will enable me to build key relationships with clients and transfer these ideas effectively into physical creative design projects that meet the design aspirations of the client.’

‘I hope I will be able to be an instigator for innovation in the development of our design offering in the coming future’.

Miss Nuttall holds a Geography degree from Durham and a Fashion Design diploma from ESMOD Jakarta.

Outside of work, she is a keen skier, plays tennis and hockey and is joint captain for Cubs Ladies, a local hockey team. She also enjoys gardening, yoga and home and fashion styling.
