Our clients underwent a complete renovation on this lovely Guernsey property. The building was taken almost entirely back to a bare shell before being extended and improved whilst retaining as many of the original features as possible such as the staircase.
Working with the main contractor and architect, Bonsai contributed the following:
The living area / sun room extension featured aluminium sliding/folding doors and a large roof lantern all fully marine-treated for use in harsh coastal environments. Scandinavian internal doorsets were used throughout and customised by Bonsai to incorporate ‘Art Deco’ detailing.
The timber flooring selected was a character grade oak, hand-finished with dark pigmented hard-wax oil to match a sample chosen by the clients.
We designed and built internal, bespoke, folding timber partition doors with a subtle, recessed floor track and Art Deco detailing and finally supplied door hardware and an array of finishing products for the staircase and other woodwork.
